  1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the National Aadi Mahotsav on 16 February, 2023 at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi. 
  2. Drone startup Garuda Aerospace on 15 February, 2023 unveiled its solar-powered drone ‘SURAJ’, designed specifically for surveillance operations, at Aero India 2023.
  3. The U.S. men’s national team, along with Mexico and Canada, will automatically qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. FIFA historically has given host nations the right to play in the World Cup without going through the usual qualification tournaments.
  4. Foreign secretary Vinay Kwatra was on a two day visit to Bangladesh from 15-16 February, 2023.
  5. NewSpace Research, a Bengaluru-based start-up has delivered SWARM drones to Indian Army, which makes the Army the first major armed force in the world to operationalise these high-density SWARM drones. 
  6. Among the big States in the country, Chhattisgarh and Bihar allocated the most proportion of their budget towards education in FY23. 
  7. The Ministry of Tourism under its schemes of ‘Swadesh Darshan’ and ‘National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD)’ has identified four pilgrim centers for development. They are- Maa Chamundeshwari Devi Temple, Sri Madhwa Vana, Papnash Temple, Sri Renuka Yallamma Temple.
  8. World Bank President David Malpass has announced that he will step down on 30 June, 2023 (nearly a year early than his term) after serving more than four years in the role.
  9. The US B-1B Lancer heavy bombers have arrived in India for the Aero India 2023 air show, which held on 13-17 February, 2023. 
  10. Maharashtra cabinet has decided to implement Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India (PM Shri) in the state on 14 February, 2023.
  11. Sania Mirza has been roped in as mentor of Royal Challengers Bangalore for the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL), to be played in Mumbai from 4 to 26 March, 2023.
  12. The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) elected Aniket Sunil Talati as the new President and Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal as the new Vice President for the 2023-24 term.
  13. The Science Center and Planetarium which will be constructed in Kota, Rajasthan is one of the best science centers and planetariums in the world.
  14. Paytm Payments Banks Limited (PPBL) has launched Unified Payments Interface (UPI) LITE, enabled by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) for multiple small-value UPI transactions.
  15. Hyundai Motor India Ltd has signed on two more women cricketers named Yastika Bhatia and Renuka Singh Thakur, to its roster of brand ambassadors. They will join Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues.
  16. On 16 February 2023, legendary Indian football player and two-time Olympian Tulsidas Balaram, an Arjuna awardee, passed away in Kolkata at the age of 87.
